The Role of the Eyes: A Biblical Perspective

  The Bible often uses the imagery of the eyes to convey profound truths about human nature, our relationship with God, and the consequences of what we choose to focus on. Our eyes, often called the "lamp of the body," provide a gateway to our heart and soul. Understanding the biblical significance of the eyes helps us reflect on how we perceive and interact with the world around us. 1. Eyes as the Lamp of the Body Jesus taught about the importance of the eyes in Matthew 6:22-23: “The eye is the lamp of the body.
